Height of this statue is 88 meters or 289 feet. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in China and also in the world.

Dai Kannon of Kita no Miyako park was established in 1989. It is located in Ashibetsu, Japan. Height of this statue is 88 meters or 289 feet. The statue contains over 20 floors with an elevator, with floors containing shrines and places of worship, eight in total, and a platform providing a panoramic view of the area to visitors.

Great Buddha of Thailand was established in 2008. It is located in Ang Thong, Thailand. It is painted gold and made of concrete. Height of this statue is 92 meters or 302 feet. The Buddha is in the seated posture called Maravijaya Attitude. The statue sometimes called by the locals "Luangpho To" or "Luangpho Yai".
7. Peter the Great Statue
Peter the Great Statue was established in 1997. It is located in Moscow, Russia. It weighs around 1,000 tons and contains 600 tons of stainless steel, bronze and copper. Height of this statue is 98 meters or 322 feet. The statue is allegedly based on a design originally intended to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the first voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1992.

Sendai Daikannon was established in 1991. It is located in Sendai, Japan. The statue depicts the Bodhisattva Kannon from Shingon Buddhism. Height of this statue is 100 meters or 330 feet. It is the tallest statue of Nyoirin Kannon in the world, and the tallest statue of a goddess in Japan. At the time of its completion in 1991 it was the tallest statue in the world.

It is also known as Ushiku ARCADIA (Amida's Radiance and Compassion Actually Developing and Illuminating Area). Height of this statue is 100 meters or 330 feet. The statue held the record for the tallest statue from 1993–2008.

Laykyun Sekkya was established in 2008. It's Construction began in the year 1996. It is located in Monywa, Myanmar. It was commissioned by the Chief Abbot Ven. Narada. Height of this statue is 116 meters or 381 feet. It was the tallest statue in the world for a few months until the completion of the Spring Temple Buddha in September 2008.

Height of this statue is 128 meters or 420 feet. The project as a whole was estimated to cost around $55 million, $18 million of which was to be spent on the statue.
