10. GOLDEN TEMPLE

Golden Temple is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. Over 100,000 people visit the holy shrine daily for worship. Maharaja Ranjit Singh rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809 and overlaid the sanctum with gold foil in 1830. This has led to the name the Golden Temple.

9. SHIRDI TEMPLE

Shirdi Temple is located about 270 kms from Mumbai in India. Shirdi is called the Land of Sai. Shirdi Temple is famously known as the home of the late 19th century saint Shri Sai Baba. This is considered the most trusted temple in India. The temple is the headquarters of the All India Sai Samaj.

8. AMARNATH TEMPLE

Amarnath Temple is a Hindu shrine located at an altitude of 3,888m from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The Amarnath temple is one of 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. Amarnath cave is surrounded by snowy mountains and is covered with snow most of the year except for a short period of time in summer when it is open for pilgrims.

7. KEDARNATH TEMPLE

Kedarnath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is the highest among the 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple was initially built by Pandavas, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

6. BADRINATH TEMPLE

Badrinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu which is located in Garhwal hill tracks along the banks of the Alaknanda River in Chamoli district in Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. It is open for six months every year between the end of April and the beginning of November.

5. JAGANNATH TEMPLE

Shree Jagannath Temple is Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath located in Puri in the state of Odisha on the eastern coast of India. The Puri temple is famous for its annual Ratha yatra. The temple was built by the Ganga dynasty king Anantavarman Chodaganga in the 12th century CE.

4. DWARKADHISH TEMPLE

Dwarkadhish temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Krishna and is located at Dwarka, Gujarat, India. The temple location is 2,500 years old where Lord Krishna had built his city and a temple. However, the existing temple is dated to 16th century. It is believed that the original temple was constructed by Vajranabh, the great grand son of Lord Krishna, over the residential palace of Krishna.

3. RAMANATHASWAMY TEMPLE

Ramanathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva located on Rameswaram island in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple was expanded during the 12th century by Pandya Dynasty. The Lingam of Ramanathaswamy Temple is believed to have been established and worshiped by Lord Rama.

2. VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE

Vaishno Devi Temple is a Hindu temple located in Katra at the Trikuta Mountains within the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Vaishno Devi Temple is visited by more than 10 million pilgrims every year. It is believed that Mata Vaishno Devi, who was also known as Trikuta observed the ‘Navratra’, to pray for the victory of Lord Rama against Ravana.

Venkateswara Temple is dedicated to Venkateswara , an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and located in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is also known as Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple. Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa. The Temple is believed to be constructed over a period of time starting from 300 AD. The temple is visited by about 50,000 to 100,000 pilgrims daily.
